ONU: "il mondo ha perso la strada" mentre la gente di Gaza soffre
Martin Griffiths, sottosegretario generale delle Nazioni Unite per gli affari umanitari, ha ricordato che tutte le previsioni sulle conseguenze catastrofiche di un'invasione terrestre di Rafah da parte di Israele “si stanno avverando”.
In un post sui social media, Griffiths – che da tempo mette in guardia dalle conseguenze qualora la popolazione sfollata di Rafah dovesse affrontare un attacco militare – ha affermato che “non c’è quasi più cibo e gli sforzi umanitari sono bloccati”.

“Il mondo ha perso la strada e ha bisogno di ritornare alle norme che abbiamo creato”, ha ribadito.
In un'intervista con l'agenzia di stampa Reuters, Griffiths ha affermato che la carestia a Gaza è un “pericolo immediato, chiaro e presente”.
"I fatti sul campo ci dicono che non abbiamo bisogno di essere scienziati per vedere le conseguenze della mancanza di cibo", ha concluso.
